President Tatum Named
Vice-Chair of ARCHE

The Atlanta Regional Council for Higher Education has elected Dr. Beverly Daniel Tatum vice chair of its board of trustees for 2009-2010. ARCHE brings together the region’s public and private colleges and universities to build awareness of the size, scope, impact and value of higher education in the region.

Biology Professor Creates Interdisciplinary Project
Anna Edlund, Ph.D, assistant professor of biology, along with artists from Lelavision, a Washington-based performance company, has brought science to life in a multi-sensory performance and interactive blend of sculpture, illustration, music and dance called, "The Anther, My Friend."

Student Spotlight

Asya Jones, C'2011, mathematics major, NIMH-COR scholar and ASPIRE peer facilitator, has been selected to participate in the Rice University Summer Institute of Statistics, an intensive, 10-week program designed to expose students to careers in statistics. One of 17 students selected for the program, Jones' summer research project deals with body mass index and the impact it has on health.
